- Purpose – Ensures worker safety in electrical environments by providing insulation against shocks.
- Authority – Standard set and tested by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
- Classes – Class A (up to 3.3 kV), Class B (up to 11 kV), Class C (up to 33 kV).
- Material – PVC elastomer with anti-skid embossing for added safety.
- Specifications – Tensile & dielectric strength, voltage proof, ageing, acid/oil resistance, low temperature tolerance
